Tasks
- Responsible for managing and executing all promotion programmes and monitor outcome the performance of the pricing policies against budget / financial plan
- Translate financial plan in the coming years into a strategy for pricing and promotions
- Analyse analytically and qualitatively the options to drive sales and revenue through pricing policies
- Translate strategy into business pricing changes & promotion programmes
- Structure and manage projects which result in successful changes
- Establish the goals, work with the analytics team and other cross-functional stakeholders to produce recommendations on what to change and how
- Influence cross-functionally to make things happen: lead the process of aligning senior stakeholders in the business (DE leadership, finance, marketing etc.) to launch business pricing changes. You will also be a key partner for the business selling team, with the need to integrate our pricing strategy and policies closely with the other elements of our business seller proposition (account management service, selling processes and tools etc.)
- Regional and Global partnership: With a dotted reporting line to the Head of EU pricing you will work closely to ensure that DE pricing changes are consistent with EU pricing framework and future strategy. You will contribute the evolution of this strategy and may also work on projects that are wider than the DE market
Profile
- Business Experience minimum 5 years
- Evidence of very strong intellectual ability – potentially demonstrated by an MBA or a similar or top tier strategy consulting or similar environment experience
- Exceptional commercial and analytical thinking skills
- Proven track record of addressing complex commercial problems in a thoughtful but pragmatic way
- Strength in analyzing information and able to lead detailed analytical problem solving
- Ability to merge qualitative and strategic perspectives with analytics to create balanced recommendations
- Ability to manage delivery in a fast-changing, multi-national cross-functional business
- Energetic and comfortable with working through ambiguity
- Strong bias to action and ability to cut through complexity to get results
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with peers and senior stakeholders
- Ability to work alongside, motivate and also lead individuals and teams to deliver clearly defined goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in German and English
